During Yamaga matsuri I got inside this hairdressing saloon , everybody was really busy there so almost nobody cared about me , just the mother of this girl asked me : – isn´t she beautiful ? , so I pointed my camera to her and said :- yes , she looks gorgeus! , she smiled and I got my photo.

I bought the neck strap with the camera , but actually I feel much more comfortable with the wrist strap when shooting on the streets.

  1. I keep going back and forth between the neck and wrist strap because there are advantages to both, but the wrist strap is less in the way. Great photograph and story how you got it :)

  2. Nice! It’s interesting how the magazine on the lower right gives the whole scene a retro look.

  7. Just beautiful the way you’re documenting aspects of life in Japan. This is really my kind of photography: close up and right into it!

  8. Nice. Yes people in Japan mostly don’t mind having their picture taken. Here in Europe or the US people get easily offended. People here think you’re a pervert or rude if you take a picture without asking. I took once a picture of a guy and he started preaching me about human rights…
